Kansas City Aerial Arts CLOSED Through March 28th – Online Classes Available!

UPDATE 3/16:  These are challenging times for all and we want you to still have the opportunity to convene in classes.  There are a variety of fun stretching, conditioning and prehab classes we are looking at that will be taught by Ariana, Melissa and Elena.  Instructors are also available by request for private lessons in conditioning, floor skills and stretching.  Please contact your instructor directly to schedule a private lesson.  Daniel can assist with all transactions in Mindbody (daniel@kansascityaerialarts.com). If you plan to take an online class please sign up in advance.  Since this is a new program we are keeping class sizes small at 6 students max per class.  If the classes are popular and filling we will add more to the schedule. After you sign up for the class the teacher will send a Zoom invite via text or email to join class. You will need the Zoom application on your phone, tablet or computer.  Online classes will have a drop-in rate of $15.  You are also welcome to use your existing class pass or make up classes from Mindbody.  Just tell Daniel if you need any of those existing passes or classes.  SIGN UP HERE!

UPDATE 3/18: In the interest of keeping our community connected in this difficult time, we will be offering free online classes for current students who are currently unemployed or have dramatically reduced hours due to COVID-19.  If this is you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Daniel (daniel@kansascityaerialarts.com) to register.

If you are willing and able, we will also be accepting donations.  If you would like to pay for another student to take class, please let Daniel know!!

STUDIO CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT: Kansas City Aerial Arts will be suspending all in-studio classes, private lessons and parties through March 28th in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Taking a cue from the closings of numerous local institutions, circus schools around the country, the recommendations of public health officials and actions of local government we feel it is best to follow suit and suspend all current activities.  We feel this is the responsible action to take to keep you and your loved ones safe.  It is the responsibility of every individual to engage in social distancing to protect the most vulnerable in our society.  We must all act together to flatten the curve and keep our medical system from being overrun.

Like many other small businesses and arts organizations are facing right now, these times will come as the greatest financial strain we have ever faced.  If you need a refund we will provide one, but humbly request you not ask for one if it’s not needed.  This will be a suspension of classes beginning on Sunday March 15th and ending on Saturday March 28th.  The session will now be extended to end on May 17th instead of May 3rd.

If you have a party during these two weeks we would like to attempt to reschedule with you on Sunday March 29th or after.

Currently “The Spaces Between” is planned to be performed on April 3rd-5th at Union Station.  This performance schedule is subject to change due to local event bans or if creating a public gathering is adverse to public health at that time.  Currently the performance does not follow under the limitations of any bans.
