About this event
Cardinalis and Kansas City Aerial Arts combine forces to bring you, “Our True Colors: A Tapestry of Love, Loss, and Acceptance.” Go on a euphonic journey with artists and acrobats as they express facets of the human experience through choral music, vocal solos, movement, and lighting. This eclectic and inclusive program will feature arrangements of folk songs, pop songs, solos, and original choral music by Saunder Choi, Jennifer Lucy Cook, Philip Wilby, JD Daniel, and more. The program of ground and air will be choreographed by Neil Higginbotham with lighting design by Zoe M. Spangler.
Cardinalis is a professional ensemble under the auspices of William Jewell College. Led by Anthony J. Maglione, the group pairs William Jewell College Choral Scholars in a one-to-one apprenticeship with local professional singers.
Kansas City Aerial Arts provides safe aerial and circus education that fosters student growth in confidence, fitness, and disciplinary development. The Company, directed by Neil Higginbotham is an advanced collection of professional circus performers within KC Aerial Arts who entertain live audiences with disciplines like aerial silks, lyra, dance trapeze, contortion, hand-balancing, and many other innovative apparatuses pushing the boundaries of performing arts.
