Evanya is an aerial instructor who specializes in aerial silks and partner acrobatics. Inspired by a Cirque du Soliel show, she took her first silks class and fell in love. She was recruited on-site to train with a performing company at Aeris Aerial Arts in Utah, where she was coached by Cirque’s Darla Day. As a high-level gymnast and competitive dancer, she caught on quickly and began independently teaching. She was pulled away from aerial, accepting a collegiate athletic scholarship for partner stunting. Her team won many National titles, but her heart always pulled her back to aerial arts. Evanya has taught lessons in several disciplines, including aerial silks, contortion, partner stunt, acro choreography, gymnastics, tumbling, and hand balancing. Occasionally, she will play around on other apparatuses like the lyra, aerial hammock, and straps.
This spring, Evanya will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Studies, with concentrations in Business Marketing, Nutrition Education, and Child Studies. She enjoys digital editing, traveling, and watching movies with her spouse.
Evanya is available for private instruction in aerial silks, partner acrobatics, conditioning, flexibility, and choreography.
