What is Aerial Silks?

Aerial silks is a movement art where students climb, wrap, and perform poses on long strips of fabric suspended from the ceiling. It’s a mix of grace, strength, and focus—and anyone can start with the right support.

At Kansas City Aerial Arts, you’ll learn silks as part of our beginner program, alongside trapeze. These foundational classes help you build coordination, body awareness, and trust in yourself—skills that carry forward as you grow into more advanced training.
