Abbie is a performer and instructor hailing originally from Kansas City. She spent her youth competing with Emerald City Gymnastics and in the high school varsity gymnastics and cheer programs at Shawnee Mission South. Abbie went on to University of Colorado School of Engineering, with little real direction. To those who knew her, there was no surprise when the circus stole her away from an undesirable degree. Her love for Colorado, snow sports, and nature kept her in Boulder, CO, for about 6 years. In that time, Abbie attended Frequent Flyers Professional (Aerial) Training Program, became a certified yoga instructor, and made many trips traveling the world in order to study movement with some of the best of the best. Abbie’s motivation as an athlete is efficiency. Her motivation as an artist is emotion. Although maybe some of her goals have been reached, her quest is never ending and she is currently continuing her education toward a Health Science degree. Amidst it all, Abbie has been performing as a professional acrobat, aerialist, and fire performer for the past 4 years. Her favorite disciplines to work are handbalance, trapeze, and rope. She has worked for a number of wonderful companies like KCAA, Cavalia Odysseo, Quixotic Fusion, Meow Wolf, Fractal Tribe, MoonDrop Circus, Lumina Entertainment and many more. Outside of circus Abbie loves to dance like a lunatic following her favorite bands every summer, gardening, cooking, her partner Max, and her fur babies (Nemo and Nellie Kane). Abbie just moved into her first home so catch her training with Aerheart or subbing at KCAA this year!
