We believe the joy of circus should be accessible for everyone.
We create learning and performance environments that give participants the opportunity to forge a shared bond through experience.
We empower individuals by teaching them what they are capable of achieving. We strive to make a learning environment that allows you to exceed your own expectations.
The environment we create must give participants a sense of security. They must feel they are not at risk for physical, mental or emotional harm before we can contribute to their development or enjoyment.
What We Do
We provide circus education at our studio for individuals who want to experience the joy of circus through development of their own skills. We serve students of all ages who are trying something new through advanced circus students who have aspirations of a career as a performer. We are here to meet you where you are at in your circus education experience. Many students who start with us see their passion for learning transform into a passion for performing through our Training Company.
We believe in providing as much as access as we can to learning circus aerial and ground skills. We are prepared to modify our skill teaching in the studio to adapt to the circumstances presented to you as an individual. This is also we have a schedule of Online Training classes as we recognize you might have geographic or health barriers to accessing the right circus education environment.
As part of our mission to make the joy of circus accessible to everyone, we offer a variety of performance opportunities throughout the year from free community festival/street performances to full-length, theatrically produced shows.

Give to KC Aerial Arts’ efforts to make circus accessible for all of Kansas City.
Many performances include volunteer shifts for setup and strike.
KC Aerial Arts was founded in 2013 (then known as “Lucia Aerial”) by Jenny Prohaska with the vision of making aerial arts education and entertainment accessible to Kansas City.
Under the direction of Daniel Parks, we became “KC Aerial Arts” in June 2018 and we move forward with the same vision as always: to nurture a sense of empowerment and wonder through aerial arts.
